Advocacy
Sticky Toes Oasis is committed to raising awareness about the care of Whites Tree Frogs in captivity. We contribute to online forums and participate in engagement opportunities with the reptile and amphibian community in an effort to advocate for the proper care of this species.
Conservation
Improving and preserving the natural habitat of Whites Tree Frogs is vital to our conservation efforts. Establishing and advancing a captive bred breeding program contributes to conservation by meeting consumer demand and eliminating the need to supply the pet trade in the United States with imported, wild caught Whites Tree Frogs.
Education
Our goal is to provide accurate and up-to-date information about the care of Whites Tree Frogs in captivity to the public free of charge so they can properly care for their pet Whites Tree Frogs. We accomplish this through the sharing of information such as scholarly articles, care sheets, videos and more on social media, at pet expos and in online forums. We also work with pet stores to improve their conditions while the frogs are in their care and being marketing for sale.
Rescue
We are committed to promoting rescue and rehoming as an alternative for purchasing from pet stores or wild caught importers. Through our adoption program, we connect potential adopters with people needing to rehome their Whites Tree Frogs. We also focus on providing emergency help to owners of Whites Tree Frogs.
Research
Our goal is to continually learn by furthering our knowledge and improving our care practices. We accomplish this by engaging with researchers, biologists and students to gain access to valuable data and seek input where appropriate. We are also independently studying and chronically the husbandry and behavior of our personal collection of Whites Tree Frogs.
