All orders must be prepaid prior to shipping. No personal checks are accepted. Acceptable forms of payment include, direct payment through our online store and in some cases, which are agreed upon in advance, virtual money transfer (like Venmo, Paypal, etc) or direct wire transfer.
We do not have a retail facility open to the public. Customers in the Houston, Texas area can arrange a pick up at a mutually convenient location, usually somewhere just off highway 290. There is generally no charge for this unless we agree in advance to drive a farther distance to meet you.
Shipping costs will be calculated at checkout and include all packaging materials and heat/cool packs as necessary. Occasionally, there may be additional charges or refunds and are usually due to technological errors at checkout or changes in address or carrier. In the rare event of changes resulting in additional charges, the customer will be notified as soon as possible using the contact information provided at checkout.
We only ship on Tuesdays and Wednesdays! Shipping dates are evaluated based on weather and other conditions from the shipping location (Texas) to the receiving location (your location). This is to ensure the utmost conditions for the health and safety of the animal. If you have questions regarding what day your shipment will be sent, please contact us.
Domestic orders are shipped with FedEx Priority Overnight only. We will drop the shipment off at our nearest FedEx hub and can arrange for the delivery to be held at the hub nearest you upon arrival to reduce the time your frog(s) are in transit. If you decline to pick up at the hub, please be aware that you are exposing your frog(s) to possible extreme temperatures and additional handling time from being in a delivery vehicle all day. Our DOA policy is voided if you do not pick up your frogs from your nearest FedEx hub. Please contact us before purchasing if you are unable to pick up from your local hub.
At this time, we are unable to ship outside of the continental United States. If you live in Alaska, please contact us before purchasing so we can confirm FedEx can deliver a Priority Overnight package to your area.
We offer live arrival guarantee on all frog shipments, all year long, provided the following stipulations are met.
Customer arrives at the hub at the specified arrival time
We are notified of any problems within one (1) hour of the arrival of the shipment (we will use the time provided by the carrier)
Proof must be provided, generally in the form of photographs and/or video; however, in some cases we may request the bodies returned to us for evaluation and necropsy
We are not responsible for the mishandling of your package during transport or for any late deliveries. Once the package is in transit, we will not be held liable for any damages to the package. We will redirect you to the carrier to file a claim and will assist you and the carrier as required.
In the case of DOA, replacement will be offered only if the aforementioned stipulations have been met. We will offer replacements of the same species/phenotype, or if unavailable other species/phenotype of equal or lesser value (if requested and agreed upon by both the claimant and Sticky Toes Oasis). If no frogs are available to replace the DOA frog(s), claimant will be placed in priority on a waiting list for a future spawn. Cash refunds will only be issued at the discretion of Sticky Toes Oasis. In all cases, the buyer is responsible for all shipping costs involved with the replaced animals.
Sticky Toes Oasis offers no specific guarantee on animals after they arrive, aside from them being in apparent good health and overall good condition upon arrival. Failure of an animal to thrive after arrival may be due to many different factors, and thus it is often difficult to assess who is at fault. We should be notified immediately of any problems in order to address them promptly to determine the problem and offer suggestions or corrective measures for a possible solution. In some cases, completely up to our discretion, we may offer replacement animals. You should have a good idea of how the animal is doing after three (3) days in your possession. No replacements will be offered after this time period. In cases where replacements are issued the buyer is responsible for all shipping costs.
Buyer is responsible for seeking veterinary intervention in the event an animal displays signs of illness or injury while in their care. Advice from Sticky Toes Oasis should never replace the care of an experienced exotic veterinarian.
